Avoid consumption by animals – Keep away from pets
Moraea like to be planted in well-draining, sandy soil. Water well about
three times a week during the growing season. Allow the soil to dry during dormancy.
The shorter species are well suited to borders and containers.
Corms should be planted from early summer about 10cm apart and 3 to 5 cm deep.
Protect foliage and stems against aphids and red spider mite. Slugs and snails can attack
Moraea. Some Moraea protect their pollen from ant collection by exuding a sticky mucus
on their flower stalks.
