Iris confusa is a distinct species, boasting 4-5.5 cm blooms in colours ranging from lavender to pale blue to white, with delicate wavy or scalloped edges. Each stem comes with 4-6 membranous spathes, 1.5 cm wide, and 5-8 slender branches or pedicels near its apex. The stiff pedicels measure 1.5-2 cm in length. After flowering, the stems can spread along the ground and take root, enabling the formation of larger plant clumps. Each stem may bear 3-5 flowers blooming in spring and early summer.

Flowering time: Spring to early summer. The flowers are short lived, but since, the plant has many flowers, up to 75 flowers, a continuous display can last for several weeks.

Plant spacing: 15cm apart
Watering: Every 3-4 days when planted in the ground for 10 minutes. If planted in containers, water every 2-3 days.
